David Chart was the longest-serving Line Editor for Ars Magica, from 2001 to 2015. This made him the guy responsible for nearly everything about the ArM5 line (and part of ArM4, from the general design considerations to the order and content of the supplements. So if there is anything you find fault with in Ars Magica, you should put the blame on The Man.

On 14 May 2015, David Chart announced his retirement from Atlas Games at the end of the 2015 calendar year.[1]

David Chart has written extensively for Ars Magica over the years. He was the author of The Fallen Fane, The Black Monks of Glastonbury, Heirs to Merlin, A Medieval Tapestry: Personalities of Mythic Europe, and The Wizard's Grimoire, Revised Edition, as well as contributing to other books and editing or producing or otherwise aiding in the production of many others.

Fifth Edition Books by David Chart

As Line Editor David has been involved in shaping every Firth Edition book. He is credited as author rather than editor on two books he wrote personally.
