Lucian of Bonisagus

Lucian filius Trianoma of House Bonisagus was the first apprentice of Trianoma and the first magus to become a Seeker, according to Fifth Edition canon.

It seems strange that the very first apprentice of Trianoma is noted for starting a movement where magi from Trianoma's line essentially abandon their work. Especially since she was alive for a good while after he became a magus. It seems that the author may have been a little careless in creating a face for the Seeker movement. Or maybe the Story Guide can come up with a good reason for this break. Perhaps Lucian was actually moving in a direction Trianoma wanted him to go. Or perhaps he just had his own interests.

If this character is of importance, the Storyteller should have a better idea of where he comes from. I'm not an expert, but the name could be Greek or French. Wikipedia has a disambiguation page for the name here which includes some interesting historic persons. Whatever the linguisitic source for this character, it does appear to descend from the word for 'light'.
