Goetic Art or Ars Goetia are ancient disciplines based on the invocation and use of spirits and/or demons. In Mythic Europe its practicioners are known as Sorcerers and suffer from a bad reputation.

Ars Goetia is implemented in Fifth Edition as four specific Abilities and the corresponding Virtues that grant access to them.[1][2][3] and the new Spell Mastery Ability Goetic Mastery[4]

For game purposes, Goetia Abilities (like most other Infernal-tainted Abilities) are often learned through participation in a Tradition that specializes in four specific Favored Abilities.[5]

It is possible, but difficult, to learn Goetic (and other Infernal-tainted) Abilities by the regular rules for the learning of Supernatural Abilities.[6][7]

Goetic Virtues

There are four Major Goetic Art Virtues,[8][1] which are considered Supernatural Virtues[6] and grant access to the four corresponding Goetic Abilities at level 0 in each case.[1]

The Titanoi

The Tytalus tradition known as Titanoi, which has been brought under suspicion since the Corruption of House Tytalus, is or at least was once trained in Ars Goetia.[9][10]
