A Lacuna (singular; plural Lacunae) is a "hole" in the Dominion aura, filled with the aura of another Realm or none at all. Lacunae are described in HoHS 57, but no precise mechanics are given for how they arise.

Although the description refers to Realms of Power: Magic, that book didn't provide much support for this concept.
