A Mystery Virtue is a Virtue that is taught to members of a mystery cult at or after Initiation.

Mystery Virtues are divided into Outer Mysteries and Inner Mysteries. Though adherents generally join mystery cults to learn obtain these special virtues that cannot be possessed in any other way, they also teach hermetic virtues and supernatural virtues and even general virtues to their members. The more powerful mystery virtues, including most Inner Mysteries, are exclusive to higher ranked members of the cult.

The concepts of Mysteries in general were touched upon on page 91 of ArM5, and the Outer Mystery of each of the Mystery Cults were provided on pages 91-93.

The mechanics of Mysteries are included in Houses of Hermes: Mystery Cults and in The Mysteries Revised Edition. The latter includes Mysteries, as well as Mysteries that are so open that any Magus may learn them without joining a Mystery Cult. The Mysteries Revised Edition also includes a lexicon at page 7.
