Sanctum

A sanctum (pl. sancta) is the private domain of a magus. It, as well as its interior, is protected by the Code of Hermes. However, sancta must be marked by their owners to function as sanctuaries.

The sanctum of a magus usually (but not necessarily) accommodates his laboratory.
