This article is about legal code of the Order of Hermes. For the Arcane Ability, see Code of Hermes (Ability).

The Code of Hermes is the text of the Hermetic Oath that binds all magi and forms the social foundation of the Order. The Oath is not magical in itself, instead other magi force each other to maintain it. The proper interpretation of the Code is given in the collection of Peripheral Code.
