Some pages on Project: Redcap are grouped into Namespaces. Namespaces are a feature of MediaWiki that helps organize pages according to their function. Namespaces are different from categories in that namespaces designate pages with a common, special purpose, such as user help or templates, that's distinct from the main purpose of the wiki (Ars Magica and its fan community).

Pages whose name has no prefix belong to the Main namespace. This is the namespace users spend most of their time in, reading and editing information about Ars Magica and the fan community. All other namespaces have a prefix, separated from the page title by a colon. This page is called Help:Namespaces and it belongs to the Help namespace.

Important Namespaces in Project Redcap

MediaWiki comes with 18 standard namespaces. See Namespaces for the full list. We'll summarize just the most important ones here:

Project: Redcap uses the following namespaces:

(Main): The Main namespace has no prefix. The Main namespace is for Ars Magica related information. It's what the whole wiki is about.
Help: The Help namespace is for user instructions and tutorials about using this wiki.
Project Redcap: The Project Redcap namespace is used for administrative pages about the site itself -- policies, coordinating teamwork among the editors, and status and history of the wiki itself.
Template: Templates are building blocks of standard, reusable code that create a consistent user experience on the wiki. See Help:Templates.
Special: Pages in the Special namespace are automatically generated by the MediaWiki software. They include useful lists such as Special:Categories, which shows all categories on the wiki, and Special:Version, which shows all the software extensions installed and their versions.
User: Each registered user has their own personal page. Those pages belong to the User namespace.
